Xorg crashes when doing nothing in particular

Reported by: http://orlammd.pip.verisignlabs.com/ Owned by: -
Priority: major Milestone: undecided
Keywords: Xorg vblank count Cc:

Description

When using ladish 0.3-rc, Xorg sometimes crashes. In first approximation, nothing in particular seems to lead to this bug, it already happens as nothing was done on the machine.

The error reported in Xorg logs is the following:

error trying to get vblank count for disabled pipe 1

I'm running ladish 0.3-rc, built from git, on a Debian Squeeze distribution.

Please provide lines from ladishd log file. If ladish is doing nothing, then it is important in what state ladish was. Preferably, do minimal interraction between ladishd activation and the crash.

ladishd is the only ladish component that has code to kill processes. If ladish is indeed the reason, then it should not depend on whether gladish is started. Please confirm this.

Also please test with latest ladish git and report the sha1 where it is reproducible.
